so its been a day and i already miss my hubby.....I am sitting here thinking what the heck was i thinking going away for 3 weeks without him! I know it as the only way to come here for more then 5 days but still its hard. Jackie does not seem to realize derek is gone yet....she has been too excited with everything at grandpas house to care....i wonder when she will start to care because she is daddys little girl. lol Abby has no idea haha but I do I miss his arms to hold her but i got 3 more here so it should work out.
I plan to just keep busy here! The down side is I have no car so i am stuck in Alpine but i do want to see all you guys! So come see me! lol you have the next 3 weeks :) i gotta keep busy so i dont go crazy missing my hubby plus i want to see you while i can in Utah i dont know when I will be back again!

The little things
Its the little things in life like
having your 2 month old always snuggle right up next to you
hugs from your 2 year old
kisses from your 2 year old
hearing the simple phrase I love you from loved ones
a smile and squeal from your baby
knowing your child trusts you completely
when your kid wants to play with you and asks please
seeing the love your spouse has for you
seeing a family member after not seeing them in a long time
your moms/dads voice on the phone
knowing you have friends you can talk to and understand what you are going through
your daughter wanting you and only you to tuck her in at night
knowing someone is there when you pray
understanding there is more to life then this life
being able to say I believe in God and Jesus Christ
that help me realize how truly blessed and loved I am in my life

which one would you take?
So Abby had a rough night last night, when I woke up i could not help but think back upon Jackies rough nights when she was little and compare them...
Rough night with Jackie
These occurred about 4 or 5 nights a week. Put her down to bed by feeding her and bouncing her for a LONG time, an hour later she would wake up screaming and you would have to hold her in your arms and bounce her until she would stop. Stop bouncing cue crying again. Get so fed up and tired that you decided to drive around at 3 am praying she will fall asleep. Get in car drive around see sconecutter open get some popcorn chicken. Keep driving around hoping still to get a sleeping baby. After about an hour of driving around and some good chicken she is asleep. Go home put car seat next to bed fall asleep an hour later cue Jackie crying. Don’t worry she will get her sleep when daytime comes, but parents wont work and school call.

I guess i should not complain about a rough night with Abby its pretty darn easy when i think about it!

Happy 2 months!
Miss Abigail today you are two months old! Mommy can barley beleive that you have been in our life for that long! It seems just like yesturday we were waiting for you to come! You have changed a lot these last two months.
You are starting to smile, you are picky about who and when you will smile though. You love to smile for Jackie, you give her big smiles when she talks to you. You will also smile anytime you are sitting up or are in your "tent" your playmat with a star that sings and lights up to you.
You love to sit up. You always want me to hold your hands so you can sit up. Mom wants to get you a bumbo...maybe santa can take care of that. For now mommy will just enjoy the time she gets sitting with you on her lap, i know you wont want to be there for long i will take advantage of it while i can!
You HATE a wet diaper, you will cry the second you go to get a new one, this is something i sure hope you change because we go through a lot of diapers! Today you had your first diaper explosion, i guess we were lucky it did not happen until now!
You are a good sleeper (well comapred to Jackie) You go to sleep pretty easy as long as you are feed and bathed i just have to put you in your crib with your mobile on and you fall to sleep! you wake up about every 3 hours to eat and do not like to go back to your crib so after your first round in your crib you join mommy and daddy in their bed! Enjoy sweetie because we will kick you out soon! ;) Your crib is in our room so you dont wake up Jackie and mommy can hear you breath, I love having you close!
You also wake up at 7 am every day and will not go back to sleep without a new diaper. This is your only diaper change during the night, as soon as you get changed you go right back to sleep :)
You take about 3 naps during the day one pretty soon after you get up one around 2 and one around 7. :) its so weird to mommy to have a baby who sleeps so much! I love it though. Jackie misses you when you sleep. She worries if she can not see you and gets upset if someone not in our family holds you, she loves you!
You will get blessed in 2 weeks and then you are making your first trip to Utah! get ready to meet alot of family they all love you and are excited to meet you!

Anyway we are all doing well getting excited for grandpa to come up for Abby's blessing and to head to Utah! Jess's thoughts
Well we have been out here for 2.5 months now, although it seems like its been a lot longer! I guess my life has been a worlwind since we moved here. Got here on August 25th had a baby less then a month later, had to learn a new town, meet new people, new ward, unpack, and well ADJUST to being a mom of 2 away from everyone i know and everything i know! I got to admit i think i am doing pretty good, but I cant help but miss home, I miss being close to family I miss living in a town where i have options on where to shop and i can go to any store i need without an hour drive. Most of all I think I miss family. I really dont like living so far, i hate the fact most people have not meet Abby yet. I know I am coming to Utah soon and they will meet her! Dereks work schedule is hard too. He worked late in Utah, but I had so many friends who i could visit late at night and family it never bothered me. . Everyone seems pretty settled has a lot of kids. Its hard. I love our ward they have been great, but I miss having a good friend I can see when i want and talk to when i need to talk...cell phones just are not the same. I am trying though. I am pretty excited to come to Utah for a month...although being away from Derek for 3 weeks sounds afwul! i will miss him so much!
Anyway i know this situation is temporary, I know I will get through it and everything will work out. No need to dwell on what if's just have to move forward!
