Remember a while back I asked if anyone got bumps while pregnant? Well I decided to go to the dermatologist and get a biopsy so they could finally give me some answers, I was a little sick of the response I do not know.
WARNING I WILL COMPLAIN IN THIS POST!
Well I got the answer I figured I would get and one I really did not want to get. I know some of you out there know I have a disease called neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). (you can learn more about it here) It basically causes you to grow small harmless tumors on or under your skin. Well I have had a VERY mild case my whole life....I have a lot more symptoms then actual bumps, in fact I only ever had 3 that were under my skin...before i got pregnant. I guess change in hormone levels can affect it and cause more to grow.
So my bumps are Neurofibromas they will not go away unless i have them removed but since i now have more then i care to count I don't think i want that many scars all over my body. So i get to just live with it, i will most likely get more with each pregnancy. This is a scary thought to me! I really do not like the current ones i have and the chance of getting them on my face is something i really do not want!
I was born with NF1. My parents do not have it i got it through some sort if gene mutation. Unfortunately i have the chance to pass it on to each one of my children a 50% chance. Luckily since i have NF1 the less sever type my children can only get NF1 however they could get it worse then me or even have a more mild case then i did.
We are pretty sure Jackie has it. I need to take her to get testing for it. I hope Abigail does not have it. I feel horrible about the fact that I can pass this to my children. Knowing that I am giving them something that will affect them for the rest of their lives is sad and hard for me. I want to have a lot of kids. I want a big family. I grew up in a big family and loved it. I want my children to grow up in a big family, but yet I still have that fear. I worry that they will get some of the worse side effects that I avoided. Really I just worry I want my children to have EVERY opportunity and chance in like and do not want to hinder them, and this could.
When you look at it though 60% of people with it have a mild form, the next 20% have a correctable form, and the reaming 20% have problems that scare me! I guess the odds do look good, and if the Lord wants me to have children I need to have them and he will give them what ever he sees fit to go through in this life. Still I think its unfair and I just do not want to put my children through that, and really I do not want to be known as spots for the rest of my life....I am a cougar not a leopard!

Ridding the horse
This was the last ride of the day she was pretty tired at this point but she loved it! She is with her cousin Ava
Jackie on the dolphins

My child has no fear this is the new ride this year! IT goes REALLY fast forwards and then backwards....Jackie kept yelling woooooo and weeeeee the whole time!
Jackie on Puff with her aunt Nikki....mommy could not take her since she is currently housing Abby ;) she loved this one too! she had HUGE smiles during the whole ride!
Jackie on the boats with her cousin

She was pretty tired! This was her near the end of the day.....she was a trooper! She loved it! She did not like waiting in the lines or waiting for the rides to start but once they did she had a HUGE smile on her face :) When we got home all she wanted to do was talk about all the rides she went on....she keeps telling me about the boats, the horse, the cars with Ava....and going fast with daddy.....:) she is a cutie! and i am glad she is so willing to go on the bigger rides! we just hope it continues!

Potty ideas?

so Jackie is still rocking it on the potty! she has been going all the time at home with no accidents for a few days now...only issue is she wont use the potty unless she is on a little potty.....so my question is do we just keep one in the car and bring it with us....how do you get them to use a reagualr potty.....lol and yes in my vocabulary the word restroom, bathroom, and toliet have all been replaced with potty......
Jackie is getting SO big and starting to get pretty opinionated too! She defiantly knows what she wants and gets upset sometimes if she does not get it, and has a hard time understanding why she can not do certain things at certain time...like why she can not go swimming at 11pm why the baby can not come out of my belly, why she can not fall back into mommy's tummy anymore, why she can not wear a sweatshirt in June in Utah......
But we are really really lucky with her, she is pretty good for the most part and does not have too many outbursts! She just always wants to be doing something and be on the move...she has SO much energy and a love for learning that she hates to hold still for too long! She wants to be running and playing and discovering all the time she keeps us on our toes and we love it!

My little big girl
Jackie is growing up! She is no longer my little baby and is my big girl!
Since about January she has liked the concept of the potty....she will use it off an on at her choosing, and gets very excited when anyone uses the potty!
She was never a fan of mommy or daddy telling her it was time to go. We let her go when she wanted and decided to let her do it on her time, i did not want to push her too much to go.
Well this weekend we decided it was time for the bottle to go. We let her have water in her bottle to go to bed but nothing else. She was not too happy about this, but seems to get it. Well Sunday she woke up and wanted to use the potty, and kept going in the toilet all day! Derek put her in pull ups (big girl pants) and she only had one accident!
When she woke up today she told me she was a big girl and wanted the diaper off, and her big girl pants on.....so far today she has gone in the potty all day for daddy! Lets hope it keeps up! I don't want two kids in diapers!
Guess i will just have to wait until September to have a baby in the house again....it seems my baby is growing up!
