Abigail Fern Stell is here!

Thats right folks she made it! Sorry for the lack of pictures and the deley on putting this up here we are havign computer issues as in our computer is dead gone a gonner! :( so no pictures for now until we figure out how to get a new computer.

But here is how she got here! As you know i moved 36 weeks pregnate crazy time but hey we managed i got most things unpacked and pictures up and meet some great people in our ward who decided to throw me a shower the night before my c-section was scheduled. Yes i started panicking i was going to go in to labor before my shower...well i made it to the shower and then not 5 minutes after being home contractions started up by 230 am they were every 4-6 minutes and had been that way for over an hour. SO i called the hospital told them i was suposed to be having my c-section at 930 they told me to come in so they could monitor me and see what needed to be done. So we went in poor Jackie was not happy to be up! We went in and Jackie went to sleep there (she had some where to go but not until 6am!) anyway they decided to bump my c section up to 730. THey had one set at that time and the hopsital was too small to have people there to do it then. So i got to go though some labor in the end which was my one pro of having a c section instead of a VBAC out here...but oh well i am really happy to know its when she was ready i dont like the idea of picking their birth day i think the baby should do that!

Any way it was an easy c section she came out crying and got a 9 on her first apgar! (jackie had a 4 so this was nice change!) I got to see her and then they finished up and then i got to go see my wonderful little one! She was 8.6lbs and 19 inches long! She is beautiful and we are all so in love! Jackie is loving being a big sister and i am trrying to get around in a place with stairs! i am doing alright though....more pain then with Jackie but we will be okay! My mom is here for the week which has been great!

Well thats about all :)

Alamogordo is not that bad

Jessica will tell you all the bad things about Alamogordo. Well, I am going to tell you some of the good things.
∫ The Ward is super nice and willing to help.
∫ My job is great. It is a lot of fun to cover high school athletics.
∫ The cost of living is fairly reasonable.
∫ The drive to the rink is no further than we used to go for family dinner.
∫ You get a chance to do missionary work.
∫ There are all the ammeneties we had back home, Walmart, a mall, Big 5, etc.
∫ We won't be freezing our tails off in the winter.
∫ If we want snow, we can drive 15 minutes to Cloudcroft.
∫ Jess gets to stay home with our little Jackie. Soon it will be Abbey too.

There are more good things about Alamogordo, but I will not bother with them here.

greatings from the middle of nowhere!

Well Jackie has been bugging me to take her to the Library so here we are i was able to get on the computer her for a second while Jackie lets me. Our computer is still not currently working I think/hope all it needs is a new power cord....but we need to wait until a pay check comes in so i am still without access at home :( its makes me sad to be out of the Internet world! At least I have my cell phone to check updates on facebook! haha its sad the world we live in!

As for me things are going well. We are getting closer to Abbys day and I am getting pretty excited for her to be here! I just want to be able to kiss her and hug her and see her cute little face (yes i know it will be cute!) Its just 9 days away that is kinda crazy to me!

I hope we can have our computer up by then so we can post pictures of her! Things here are going well we are getting used to the town and the small town life (another issue with the computer thing is well we got a wal mart and a radio shack soo not best buy ect. to help us out!) Derek is loving his job, and i am trying to adjust to staying at home all day and having time to rest and relax! If anyone knows me they know that i am always on the go and hardly ever stop so its been interesting but I am starting to get used to it and I really do enjoy it!

Things we have discovered since living here

  • you can drive the speed limit and pass everyone on the road
  • no one goes through a yellow light
  • if its not at wal mart you are out of luck
  • the distinction between village, town and city is important
  • you dont want to drink the water
  • "grass" is different out here and there really is not much of it!
  • everyone will ask why the heck you moved here

lol there is more but i dont have a lot of time so there is a few things i have learned!

But we are well and just getting ready for Abby!

well here we are!

so we got internet but now are having some issues with the computer charging soo i can not update much or upload pics....
i went to the doctor today and was able to meet with them. It did not go as well as i wanted they do not support vbacs. I talked to them about why and they said that they are a small hopsital and do not feel that if a problem arrises they can handel it saftley. They did tell me if i want i can show up in labor and they can not force me to have a c section and would have to do a VBAC....but if they do not feel they can handel it that worries me. I trusted my doc I dont trust them for the VBAC. So we set a date Abigal will be here on the 17th! Now only if that date would get here sooner!
