To train or not to train that is the question

So a while ago we bought a potty for Jackie, we have just kept it in the bathroom and let her sit on it when ever she wants, she has gone here and there. The past few days she has gotten really excited about it, Saturday she used the potty 2 times, Sunday 2 times, yesterday 3 times, and she already used it once today. All times she has asked me to go. She gets SO excited EVERY time she uses it and yells YAY YaY YAY when she goes. We have not pushed it, mainly because we have been told time and time again by people she is too young and will not be able to learn it right now. I also worry with me working it would be hard, but I am thinking though i need to jump on this! I mean if she is wanting to use it why not just try it right??? So for all you mommy's out there (and anyone else ;)) when did you train your kids? How did you do it?? Is 20 months too young to start?

Cassie has been using the potty since July/August. She is really good about it, but her day care providers are not so good. I don't think 20 months is too young (Cassie loved it at 16 months!)

If she's interested in using the potty let her and run with it! I don't think that there is a "set" age. Kids- especially the oldest tend to just do potty training at their own pace. So I say Yay for Jackie!

do whatever she wants to do. theres no rule that says you can only reach milestones at certain ages. roll with it :) and who cares what other people say! you're the mommy and no one else is! :)

You know that my Aunt Ruby trained her kids when they were 7 months old. But I waited till later. But I think that whenever she is ready you can start...anytime is alright. So, good luck. Love, Velma
