help please!

So Friday night and last night Jackie has woken up in hysterical crying. We are unable to calm her down for at lest 30+ minutes. After she calms down (only somewhat) she refuses to go back to sleep and will scream if we try to bring her anywhere near her bed. She wont go back to sleep for a few hours and will not lay down.
I have done some research on night terrors and she somewhat fits but not exactly so i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what is causing these and what we can do to help her!

You should co-sleep :)

One thing to check: ear infection. The laying down motion causes the inner ear to hurt. My kids would sometimes refuse to drink, too. Even if she has had very mild cold symptoms she can develop an ear infection. Good luck.

i don't think its an ear infection because she does not care about laying down any other time just right after she wakes up screaming, and then does not care to lay down after she has calmed down. But who knows right now i am just hoping it does not happen again

Kayden did that a lot when he was Jackie's age. Nothing we did comforted him but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a real night terror. Nothing we did comforted him and all we could do was let him thrash on the floor until he calmed himself down. Sometimes if we could get him to take a drink that helped but most of the time we couldn't get him to drink. I talked to a lot of other moms about this and did some research on the internet and it seemed pretty common around this age. Kayden is seeming to out grow it. Hope this helps.
