a whole new view

I am sitting here with my girls around the Christmas tree.  One mezmorized by the lights the other talking and talking about Christmas, Santa, the gifts under the tree, and so forth. (bet ya cant guess who is who ;)) It amazes me how much joy children can bring to this holiday.  I have been somewhat of a christmas hater since I got older.  I hate the whole present aspect in so many ways.  Always worrying about what to get others and what people will get you ect.  However this year has been different.  Its been so fun to watch Jacquelyn light up about everything to do with Christmas.  Watching her get excited as she talks about what she wants and what she wants to get for others.  How excited she gets about christmas tree lights and decorating.  The joy is amazing to me and I love watching this holiday through her eyes.  SO I just might give Christmas another chance this year at being my favorite Holliday With two cute girls and a wonderdul husband and all our family with us it just might edge out Thanksgiving.  I am SO grateful this year to be with them all and spend time with them! I just cant wait to see Jackie on Christmas morning and watch the joy on her face.  She might be a tad upset we are not making Jesus an Elmo cake for his birthday though...but I hope the joy of the day and hte majic of it all will help her forget about the cake :)

Happy 3 months!

Well missy you have reached 3 months!! Mommy can not believe you are getting so big! You have had an interesting month and a busy one for sure! Thanksgiving weekend brought family down and your daddy blessed you. We decided to come back to Utah with grandpa and leave poor daddy in NM. You have spent a lot of this month of your life away from him. He misses you tons and I think you miss him too! You have been meeting a lot of your family and enjoying getting held so much!

tummy time...you get so angry every time mommy makes you do it

sitting down- you always want to be on the move and seeing what is going on

You are the joy of our lives and we cant wait to watch you grow and learn! Love you missy! You are my little Osa and i love you tons!

Any ideas?

SO lately when it comes feeding time with miss Abigail its gotten difficult She will eat for about 3 minutes and then just start screaming and screaming. I will sit her up give her her binky and in about 5 minutes she will eat some more. I am trying to figure out what is wrong and why she is screaming. I know something is wrong because its her i need help i am in pain cry. I am thinking it could be reflux or hyperlactation but she never spits up really maybe 3 times a week and its just very very small and trying the tips to resolve hyperlactiatoin do not seem to be working.....any ideas out there or what we ccan try i am thinking of trying no dairy but wow thats a hard one for me!

Well i am sure if anyone out there reads my blog you might be sick of hearing about Derek being gone....the good news we made it past halfway! :) he will be here in 10 days! I am pretty excited lol
Things here in Utah have been going great! we have been having a lot of fun visiting everyone! I think i have worn Jackie and Abby out though....they are pretty beat but seem to be enjoing it all! I am taking our car back tomorrow so it wont be near as crazy! It also means you will have to make a drive up to Alpine :)
I have learned from being out here that i really do miss it! I love it out here it just nice and peacfull and i sure miss it! lol but i do also miss our place and having my own things :) and well being in warm weather sounds nicer! And the whole being with my hubby part..its no fun to be without them! It has given me a greater apprciation for those people in the military and what they go through being seperated for so long....i have gone 11 days and i still have 10 more and i am already dying! How the heck do they make it for months to years at a time???  anyway we are well and happy no worries here! plus christmas is  coming! :) i am excited to see Jackie on Christmas day!

Absence make the heart grow fonder

Well good news is we are doing well in Utah even without Derek.  Jackie misses her daddy alot and mentions it for the most part when she is tired.  She misses her home too she keeps asking me for things we did not bring, but grandpa can usually make her forget pretty quick! Its been fun seeing people we have not seen in a long time!  There are still so many people to see it its kinda crazy! Good news is we are here until the 27th so we have time....I have a car right now and will have it until thursday so if you wanna play let me know you are also welcome to come up here too!
I do miss Derek alot.  Its weird not to have him around all the time to talk to or get hugs from.  To help with the girls and so on, but I have a lot of help here so that is nice too :) we have made it a week tomorrow so its only 2 more weeks...lol still seems a LONG time but I know we will be able to make it and it will be so nice when we get back together! One thing for sure its helped me relise how much i love him and appricate all he does to help me with the girls! Life sure is easier with him around and I love him!  I am so glad I meet him and we have started our life together! I will take being poor and happy with him then being with anyone else!

one night down 21 more to go

so its been a day and i already miss my hubby.....I am sitting here thinking what the heck was i thinking going away for 3 weeks without him! I know it as the only way to come here for more then 5 days but still its hard.  Jackie does not seem to realize derek is gone yet....she has been too excited with everything at grandpas house to care....i wonder when she will start to care because she is daddys little girl.  lol Abby has no idea haha but I do I miss his arms to hold her but i got 3 more here so it should work out. 

I plan to just keep busy here! The down side is I have no car so i am stuck in Alpine but i do want to see all you guys! So come see me! lol you have the next 3 weeks :) i gotta keep busy so i dont go crazy missing my hubby plus i want to see you while i can in Utah i dont know when I will be back again!

Family and Utah

Our family starts to come into town tomorrow night and Sunday i start heading to Utah! I will be there Monday! YAY! I am excited to show our family's Abby!   And well all my friends!  Let me know if you want to get together!

which one would you take?

So Abby had a rough night last night, when I woke up i could not help but think back upon Jackies rough nights when she was little and compare them...



Rough night with Jackie

These occurred about 4 or 5 nights a week. Put her down to bed by feeding her and bouncing her for a LONG time, an hour later she would wake up screaming and you would have to hold her in your arms and bounce her until she would stop. Stop bouncing cue crying again. Get so fed up and tired that you decided to drive around at 3 am praying she will fall asleep. Get in car drive around see sconecutter open get some popcorn chicken. Keep driving around hoping still to get a sleeping baby. After about an hour of driving around and some good chicken she is asleep. Go home put car seat next to bed fall asleep an hour later cue Jackie crying. Don’t worry she will get her sleep when daytime comes, but parents wont work and school call.



Rough night with Abby

These have happened 3 times in her life

Put her to sleep by feeding her and then laying her down in her bed. 3 hours later she wakes up feed her she goes back to sleep for 2 hours. This time when she wakes up she eats and wants a new diaper, however she wont go back to sleep she just lays in bed making noises and moving around that you cant sleep but there is no crying.....2 hours later she falls asleep.


I guess i should not complain about a rough night with Abby its pretty darn easy when i think about it!

Happy 2 months!

Miss Abigail today you are two months old! Mommy can barley beleive that you have been in our life for that long! It seems just like yesturday we were waiting for you to come! You have changed a lot these last two months.

You are starting to smile, you are picky about who and when you will smile though.  You love to smile for Jackie, you give her big smiles when she talks to you.  You will also smile anytime you are sitting up or are in your "tent" your playmat with a star that sings and lights up to you.

You love to sit up.  You always want me to hold your hands so you can sit up.  Mom wants to get you a bumbo...maybe santa can take care of that.  For now mommy will just enjoy the time she gets sitting with you on her lap, i know you wont want to be there for long i will take advantage of it while i can!

You HATE a wet diaper, you will cry the second you go to get a new one, this is something i sure hope you change because we go through a lot of diapers! Today you had your first diaper explosion, i guess we were lucky it did not happen until now!

You are a good sleeper (well comapred to Jackie) You go to sleep pretty easy as long as you are feed and bathed i just have to put you in your crib with your mobile on and you fall to sleep! you wake up about every 3 hours to eat and do not like to go back to your crib so after your first round in your crib you join mommy and daddy in their bed! Enjoy sweetie because we will kick you out soon! ;) Your crib is in our room so you dont wake up Jackie and mommy can hear you breath, I love having you close!
You also wake up at  7 am every day and will not go back to sleep without a new diaper.  This is your only diaper change during the night, as soon as you get changed you go right back to sleep :)

You take about 3 naps during the day one pretty soon after you get up one around 2 and one around 7. :) its so weird to mommy to have a baby who sleeps so much! I love it though.  Jackie misses you when you sleep.  She worries if she can not see you and gets upset if someone not in our family holds you, she loves you!

You will get blessed in 2 weeks and then you are making your first trip to Utah! get ready to meet alot of family they all love you and are excited to meet you!

Okay its offical i hate the new upload way....maybe i just dont know how to use it but this was a pain! ugh haha oh well they are here!

Anyway we are all doing well getting excited for grandpa to come up for Abby's blessing and to head to Utah! We will be there for almost a month so we have time to see everyone! we will be carless though so you might have to come pick us up if yyou want to see us! But really we are so great i know you will wanna! :)

Jess's thoughts

Well we have been out here for 2.5 months now, although it seems like its been a lot longer!  I guess my life has been a worlwind since we moved here.  Got here on August 25th had a baby less then a month later, had to learn a new town, meet new people, new ward, unpack, and well ADJUST to being a mom of 2 away from everyone i know and everything i know! I got to admit i think i am doing pretty good, but I cant help but miss home, I miss being close to family I miss living in a town where i have options on where to shop and i can go to any store i need without an hour drive.  Most of all I think I miss family.  I really dont like living so far, i hate the fact most people have not meet Abby yet.  I know I am coming to Utah soon and they will meet her!  Dereks work schedule is hard too.  He worked late in Utah, but I had so many friends who i could visit late at night and family it never bothered me. .  Everyone seems pretty settled has a lot of kids.  Its hard.  I love our ward they have been great, but I miss having a good friend I can see when i want and talk to when i need to talk...cell phones just are not the same.  I am trying though.  I am pretty excited to come to Utah for a month...although being away from Derek for 3 weeks sounds afwul! i will miss him so much!
Anyway i know this situation is temporary, I know I will get through it and everything will work out.  No need to dwell on what if's just have to move forward!

How to shower by yourself

So every mom needs her alone time right?  The shower should be that place too bad Jackie loves to shower with us.  Last week i really wanted to shower alone without Jackie yelling to come in and dealing with all that so i decided i would take an extra hot shower and not turn it down if she came in thinking she would leave. 
Well i she came got in and said ahh that feels sooo good mom.  Aparently she is like me and likes it nice and warm! operation take a shower alone FAILED!

Time to get into gear

Well Abby is almost 8 weeks which means I can start working out again! YAY (c-section has a 8 week wait) I am pretty excited this pregnancy i ended up losing a lot of weight due to not really being able to eat alot and not really wanting to due to heart burn i could not control.  I wont complain I am already down 23lbs from before i got pregnate! My goal is to lose 26 more! I want to post it here so I will feel motiviated to keep you in the loop. i am already stugling with my pants not really fit me anymore and i have no money to buy more.....but I will take a saggy bum for less weight anyday!! I do some questions out there for you people....what is a good diet for a nursing mom?  Also what are some good work outs i can do at home with my girls?  Any advice is appreciated!

hey all my Utah friends!

so i am going to be out there for most of December! YAY! I want to see you all, but i do have a favor to ask! Does anyone have a baby bed i could borrow while i am there? I need something for Abby to sleep in and our space will be limited for bringing stuff down. Let me know! I will bake you some cookies or something :) I will be there from Nov 30th to Dec 27th....we might leave sooner just depends on Dereks work and when he can come out to join us!!
